Veet If Off with Nuffnang

When I was about 12, I was curious of how it'll be like to have no hair on my legs. So I took a shaver and shaved off one part of my leg. I totally forgot about it until coarse hair started to grow on my leg. I was shocked cause the rest of the leg has finer hair but only that one spot has coarser one. Then I remembered I shaved my leg previously.

I had no choice but go to my mum to confess. She scolded me for being so silly. I continued shaving my legs and the longer I shave, the more I shave. So soon, almost all the hair on my right leg is shaved off. But I have hairy right leg and not so hairy left leg. When I heard about Veet, I immediately talked my mum into getting me one. So she did (she had no choice, her daughter got imbalance amount of hair on her legs =P).

This marks my first Veet!!

I've never looked back ever since. Veet gives me the confident to wear short dress and shorts. My mum always teased me and say my leg is like the "Steamed Chicken" after I use Veet. It's really in Hokkien called "Pek Cham Kay" cause "steamed chicken" has smooth and silky skin.

When I forget to restock on my Veet, the hair on my legs will grow and grow and it is so scary, I dare not wear anything short. Due to my studies, I've kind of neglected the hair cause I wear long jeans to class every day. The hair on my leg can fight with my boyfriend's. Don't ask me why he still loves me. T_T

So I've been wearing these maxi dresses I bought (in 4 different colours) and also some other maxi dresses to church on Sunday as my Sunday's best. If I run out of maxi dresses (or if I'm afraid that people ask me if I don't have other clothes), I'll wear tunics and leggings to cover my legs.

I have this in salmon pink, yellow, black, turquoise and I have another floral one. So yea, I have 5 in total.

It's awful cause I have many beautiful short dresses and I can't wear any of them but sticking to my maxi dresses.

So I have to do something about it. I got myself a Veet.
I bought for dry skin one. Want my leg to be smooth and soft.

One side with the cream, the other side looking over with envy

smooth and silky!!

So the boyfriend helped me to pin it up while I was busy Veeting myself.

With Veet, I can now wear short dresses so I can alter my maxi dresses into a shorter one so that I don't have to wear 4 different colours of maxi dresses. I can now have long and short ones for sophisticated and bubbly day!

Ta-da. Maxi dress can keep for a while now.

Another one just cause I like it.

Veet brings out the confidence in me!!! With Veet, I can now wear beautiful short dresses and show off my legs!!

ps: Above are 100% TRUE STORY.

Just now the boyfriend said, "Oh,  no wonder la you kept wearing maxi dresses everywhere lately. Now can wear short dresses already lo?" I think he secretly likes my smooth and silky legs but say love my hairy one just as much cause he always like that one. Everything also he will say like. I know he likes my leg after Veet because he said, "Next time when wedding time, you wax your legs la." Tsk tsk tsk, pecah rahsia.

Below are great video to show you how to Veet your legs. Sorry cannot video myself cause I don't have sexy legs and I don't Veet them as sexily as the models in the video. =P

Yes, you can imagine I do that too.. HAHAH Just not in such a sensual and sexy way. =P

My Happiest Moments

For those who knows me well, you would know that I take pictures ALL THE TIME. Especially of myself. And when I am with Eemoes (my girlfriends), it's even worst. We can take 600 pictures on our 2 day one night apartment stay and really, all the photos are just of us doing silly things. Daniel would know even better since he has been elected the chief photographer ever since we got together. And he loves his job I think.

I was trying to choose a picture of my happiest moment and I browse through my pictures. I have many happy moments, so many that I couldn't seem to pinpoint to one. Imagine having a harddisk full of pictures and pictures only. Vainpot I am.

I am blessed and I am happy with my family, boyfriend and my awesomer that awesomest girlfriends. God blessed me with people who truly care.

I decided for the sake of the competition to choose pictures when I laugh the loudest (or appears to) and I decided to take the one during my convocation with Eemoes. This is the picture of me laughing unsophisticatedly because we were taking multiple shots and we don't know what else to do.
They came and waited for me for an hour, went around with me to take pictures of me with my Pong Pong tree, under the humid weather and yet able to smile with me. I love my girls. And I got my girraffe!!!! And flowers...and teddies...I am loved. Daniel is again the photographer and he captures beautifulllll candid shots of me. Damn pro my chief photographer I tell you. Olympus Pen will come in handy for my chief photographer to practise on his photography skills and capture even more beautiful moments like this for me.

It's impossible to choose just one happiest moment but to be able to live each day with my loved ones is the happiest moment for me. And if I win the Olympus Pen, I'll ADD on to the happy moments and be happier!!!! The boyfie really needs a camera that doesn't have a red light on ALL THE TIME.

Simply because I love green really.

No Sweat

A lot of work to do? No sweat la, can one la.

Weather damn hot? No sweat la, go curi air-cond from library or DK.

Gonna get scolded by lecturer? No sweat la, *prays hard that he is in good mood*

Of course I don't have a friend who actually say no sweat cause our standard one is just, relax la, why so tension? Or sap sap water la...

Anyway, right now is my super sweat moments. With hot weather, tonnes of work to do, and a kinda strict lecturer plus course, it's very hard, almost impossible not to sweat, be it from the heat or cold sweat due to fear and stress. In fact I sweated like I just came out from shower today. Twice some more. I think with such weather and work load and lots of walking, it's impossible la to not sweat. Unless you don't have the liang peluh la.

If you can't help from sweating, I guess a good deodorant like Adidas one might help. I actually heard that those spray-on with cold cold feeling one is good especially to keep yourself dry. So while you sweat badly on other parts of your body, keep "certain" parts dry to prevent from smelling awful. Not so good la if you have to share class with people.

Project Alpha Season 2 is presented by Adidas Action 3 and supported by P1 and MAS. Auditions are now open! Check it out at www.projectalpha.com.my/auditions

**I actually have not got the opportunity to watch Project Alpha Season 2. Gonna catch up on that after I finish with all my no-sweat-assignments. I totally love the first season cause got Audrey. Heh

Love your beaches

I was browsing my blog and the nuffnang page yesterday and I saw this contest by DiGi. I've been a DiGi user since the first day I got my handphone. In fact, my whole family is in DiGi and I decided that I should join this contest.

I guess it's really time to speak up. I've always thought Malaysian students as compared to international ones are more reserved and we seldom contribute ideas in class. In my opinion, less talk, less scoldings. So I prefer to keep my thoughts to myself most of the time.

Since DiGi encouraged me to speak my mind, I shall speak!!!!

Last year, during Pao's birthday, we went to Pangkor Island. The beaches was MUCH cleaner than the ones we have in Penang although really, it's not exactly the cleanest beach I've seen. Then it struck me that we are exploiting God's creation and also our treasure.

Because Malaysia is a hot country, I'm sure many tourist would love to come and be able to enjoy the beaches here but with so many rubbish, we might have chased away potential tourist. It also showed how uncivilised we are to throw bottles, oranges *15 meh*, whatever plastic into the seas or on the beaches instead of the dustbin.

Get it right my friends, things like crabs, fishes, corals, belongs to the sea, rubbish belongs to the dustbin!!!

Nuffnang & Tiger's Standout Party

Last year, I went to the Wild Live Blogging Party but Pao could not make it as she was in Hong Kong I think. Reading back, I took so many pictures with so many bloggers last time. This time deteriorate BADLY. Sigh. A bit regret. =((

Anyway, we got there in the most un-outstanding way ever and left the same way. We got there at about 8.45p.m. in VERY NORMAL CLOTHES (I mean it) and got lost among the crowd.

Then we proceeded to attack the very much di-attacked food. Sigh, like you go for a battle and you shout 'FIRE!!' only to find the villagers are all dead. No fun.

We missed out quite a lot of photo taking sessions and also some games which I will explain later.
#1. I went with my sis and her two friends.

#2. That's me waiting in line to take picture with Cheesie/Ringo.

#3. Whee my turn.
She remembered me from the DKNY Mother and Daughter Look Alike contest. We talked a bit with her asking me about the prize for the contest. She even exclaimed that my sis and I were so semangat to go down to KL just for the event. I am surprised I did that too.

#4. With PinkPau who went as...guess who?
She asked me to guess and I say Police Woman lo. Sigh, so cin cai answer. She told me NO!! I'm Cecilia Cheung from Edison's video. Ah!!!! XD She is very friendly, asking me how I am and everything. I'm glad she still remember me from the last event since it was a year ago already. But then again, she was my leader.

#5. Posing with Tiger Beer. A MUST.
If you know me well, you'll know that I don't drink alcohol. So this is just merely posing for the camera. Nope, did not drink even one bit. I drank the sea coconut only.

My only high school friend who is as active as I am in these kinda stuff. Also Mei Phing but she wasn't there so. I only seen Sammy there for a short while. Then she left to be with her friends and I went to the stage area.

#7. Diese, Jessica and I.
Then I met two other Penangites. One who always travels (Diese) and another one who is working in KL now (Jessica).

#8. Diese and I
After Jessica walked off to take pictures with other bloggers, I asked for another picture with Diese.

#9. Suet Li and I

I saw SuetLi and Audrey near the entrance and told my sister that we have to take picture with them. So we did. Sigh, Suet Li and Audrey and Ringo and everyone else are so beautiful that night.
In fact they look exactly like in pictures, so pretty. And I have to have oily face that night. T__T Suet Li still remembers me this time so I'm again happy and excited.

#10. Audrey.
Audrey is so cute la. She was very shy when I asked if I can have a picture with her. She was looking at Suet Li and smiling sheepishly like 'I also got fansee?' kinda smile.
I took for granted that Suet Li remembers me so I did not introduce myself anymore. It turned out that Audrey did not know it was me. No wonder she was shy.

#11. Pamsong.
I then saw PamSong at the door and said hi to her. Then we took a picture. She saw my sis and apparently they are friends. So they talked a bit about masa lampau while I stood there, looking a bit blur. It is a small world huh?

#12. Super gung-ho bloggers
Pao spotted this bunch of completely dressed up girls and took a picture of them too. I've read Coco's and Yenniedoll's blog before but the rest I don't know.

#13. Our very sad looking N$ 60. ( I found N$ 20 more when we went back). Note: N$ is Nuffnang dollars
My sis wanted to bid for something but everyone open mouth also N$200 already. What can our N$60 do? I think there's some games where they distributed N$ earlier of the event when we weren't there yet. No wonder everyone else got so much money and we only got N$60.

#14. Jojo and Liang demonstrating the Pink Stocking Game.
Jojo was complaining that it was her silky hair that caused her to lose so Liang said it's good to have no hair. HAHA

#15. First up, Kenny Sia and Mr Blue Stripe Shirt whose name is TianChad. I found out after browsing through so many blogs.
Susan Kenny Boyle won the first round.
#16. Then it's the Sparta guy with the Mexican Man.
Mexican Man 1 - Sparta guy 0. It's so funny when Liang shouted, YOU ARE A SHAME TO SPARTA or something like that.

#17. Susan Kenny Boyle came out and did some 'warm up'.
I guess the 'warm up' did him good cause he won in just mere seconds, pulling the Mexican Man along with him. If you see clearly, even the pink stocking torn a little. Ganas

#18. The nominees for Standout King and Queen.
They danced, bridged and even flashed pussy. Look at Edward ScissorsHand. Haha, cuz his scissors keep moving, I ended up taking such shots of him. The winner for Standout King is Edward ScissorsHand while PinkPorkChop won the Standout Queen.

#19. Lucky blogger winning Nintendo Ds Lite.

#20. Susan Kenny Boyle and I.
He was, just like previous year, very friendly.

#21. Me and my dearest sister who paid for my bus tickets (RM103 k?), got me a place to stay and paid for all my food.

#22. The Spartan won The Most Eccentric Blogger title with the laptop.

#23. Susan Kenny Boyle won the Pacifier Sucker
alongside with the other 3 nominees. That's Timothy Tiah trying to stick pacifier into Susan Kenny Boyle's mouth.

#24. But they dropped it.
So Susan Kenny Boyle shouted, 'Kiok ki lai, kiok ki lai' in Hokkien which means 'Pick it up'.

#25. He then wiped it and suck it like a baby with his bantal busuk.

#26. It was Timothy Tiah's birthday so I went up to him and stuck 3 birthday notes to him from my sis and her two other friends.

#27. Audrey came in with the cake for him.
Specially love the effect of this picture.

#28. Took another shot because I thought it was a very beautiful sight.

#29. The cake for Boss Stewie. Clearly he is 25 years old. Count the candles.

#30. Jojo and I
Very pretty and very friendly.

#31. Mr. Lim
We left early and unnoticed and went over to the pub/bar/drinking place next door to wait for the two Mr. Lims to finish their beers.
Our poor Mr. Lim here was pening lalat cause angin. You know the bloated feeling that sometimes make you feel sick? He was having cold sweat, looking pale and all because of 1 1 bottle of beers. Probably a concoction with the Nasi Lemak Goreng earlier.

By the way, you have to add the two digits together e.g. 1+1=2.

#32. Oldies but Goodies.
#33. We took Nice back the next day at 5p.m.
Had 'Hottie Chic' for tea/earlier dinner and tau sar bread for late dinner. =))
Note that we only took pictures with girls and one guy (Susan Kenny Boyle who was half woman that night). I missed the chance to talk to any other blogger and I shall not repeat such mistake next time.

Standout Party- The Pink Stocking Game

I am putting up videos of that game session because it's freaking hilarious. But I think the game was more hilarious 'live' than when recorded with my camera. Anyhow as I've already recorded the game and uploaded it the entire day (I didn't know the last video a bit cranky), watch and pretend to laugh ok?

First up is Susan Kenny Boyle with one guy which I don't know who. Please say hi if you come in here and I'll link you up. The first round, Kennysia won hands down.

Then it was the Mexican Man with that Sparta guy. The Sparta guy really did struggle to win but I noticed that he was wearing slippers. It was probably too slippery for him and he began sliding towards the other chair. So the Mexican man won.

The final round was between Kennysia and the Mexican man. As you might have noticed, Susan Kenny Boyle won in matter of seconds. I guess the Susan Kenny Boyle was too strong for anyone to defeat him.

Will blog about the event tomorrow although Pao blogged about it already. I guess I still have something to say on my behalf afterall.

I am a standout in life

Or at least during my guiding life. Don't believe me? I'll tell you what I did during my guiding life.

2001

During my first camp which was held by my own school, I was actually the Queen in our sketch although the Queen usually appear in a few parts only because everyone prefers to see the princess more. I was the mother of Sleeping Beauty/Snow White/Cinderella *all roll into one*.

The first scene was me wearing the pregnant lady's gown without stuffing any pillow because I've got a natural big tummy (with no baby inside). Then I was to lie down on the grass, and GIVE BIRTH! In front of hundreds of eyes. And there I was in the middle of the field, shouting 'PULL' when the rest shouting 'PUSH'. Don't ask me why, it was in the script.

See? I was a standout even when I was in Form One okay? What? Not standout enough ar? I was not at any random field okay? I was at Youth Park (a public park where Penangites go for their walks). So basically, apart from the girl guides from my school, there are many other people who were there exercising, staring at me. I bet you would too if you saw a girl in the middle of a park, shouting 'PULL' with her legs opened wide (wear pants inside).

I later found out that I was probably made the queen because of my natural tummy. T________T What is this??? AM I JUST A JOKE TO EVERYONE?? HUH??? HUH??? ADA???

2002

Then I went to another camp the following year. It was a combine camp with another school- an all boys school (PFS). As I was like a boy, fat, short and got hideous hairstyle with spectacles too small for my face, I did not exactly stood out. Well, I grew my hair longer now with spectacles that fit my face and am more ladylike now. I am still fat and short.

Anyway, because of my outlook, I was shocked when they chose me to act in the sketch. /skips around while whistling. My scene was that I will walk out and they will play 'Pretty Woman'. Imagine, PRETTY WOMAN!! Stand out or not? Of all the pretty girls in the group, I was made the 'actress'.

I soon found out that once I walked out with the song playing behind, the song will stop abruptly. Then I was supposed to open my 'skirt' (I wore jeans inside) and pretend to flash to the actor and then the song 'I'm not a girl, not yet a woman' by Britney Spears will be played.

Apparently I was supposed to be a boy, dressing up as a girl. Hence the flashing part (to show him my true identity) and the main actor will get scared and vomit or something (I forgot) T_________T Stand out or not? Everyone will forget about that pretty actress or that handsome actor but everyone will remember that FLASHER. AM I JUST A JOKE??? HUH??? HUH???

Sigh. See, I stand out in my life. I later decided no more sketch because I've decided that I stood out enough.

NOTE: If I got the invites, I AM NOT GOING TO GO THERE AS A PREGNANT QUEEN OR A FLASHER OKAY???

Do I standout enough??? HUH??? HUH??? ADA??? *don't make a pregnant lady (though fake one) angry.
