Tuesday ramblings

Was browsing the sheets of songs that was given to me to prepare for worship leading with the kids this coming Sunday. I have always have soft spots for worship songs in Malay language because I believe that kids nowadays especially the kids in my Sunday school are not exposed enough to Malay language. Coming from a national school and mixing with my fellow Malay friends, I hold strongly in me that kids should be given a chance to mingle with our majority neighbours and know them for who they are and not based on their religion/race. At the end of the day, it is always problem with individuals, regardless of their religion or race and I want to expose my students to Malay language and not just treat it as just another language they cannot seem to master.

Besides, all these worship songs brings back beautiful memories like those I carved in Camp Cameron 2010 and NC 2011. The only time I sing a lot of Malay language worship songs were when I was in those two camps and PKA events.

Satu Suara

Lyrics
VERSE
Bapa kami pinta dari mu
Pulihkan Negara ku
Satukan umat mu di Negara ku Malaysia
Agar kemuliaan Mu terpancar dari kami
Supaya dunia melihat kami satu di dalam Engkau
CHORUS
Satukan kami dalam kasih Yesus
Satukan kami dalam kemuliaan mu
Pulihkan geraja ku agar perubahan
Terjadi sekarang ini di Malaysia
VERSE
Sekaranglah waktunya untuk kau and aku bersatu
Untuk pemulihan Negara kita Malaysia
Supaya dunia tahu gereja Mu bersatu
Satu di dalam kasih Kristus
Satu di dalam Engkau
BRIDGE
Sempurnalah sukacita di dalam kami
Sehati sefikir sekata seia
Dalam kasih Kristus

Beautiful song. When I sang it in NC 2011, I had passion for Malaysia, I sang it with heart knowing that Malaysia is my earthly home and God will work wonders in Malaysia. Singing it now in 2012 in my room, I still hold on and claim that promise.
Bapa yang Kekal

Kasih yang sempurna
Telah kut’rima dariMu
Bukan kar’na kebaikanku
Hanya oleh kasih karuniaMu
Kau pulihkan aku, layakkanku
Tuk dapat memanggilMu, Bapa

Reff:
Kau b’ri yang kupinta
Saat kumencari kumendapatkan
Kuketuk pintuMu dan Kau bukakan
S’bab Kau Bapaku, Bapa yang kekal

Tak kan Kau biarkan
Aku melangkah hanya sendirian
Kau selalu ada bagiku
S’bab Kau bapaku
Bapa yang kekal.

This song reminds me of my encounter with God in Camp Cam.. Love this song ever since. Haven't been singing this for a longgg time.

Ice Popsicle

Do you remember sucking fondly on the tube of ice pop that you buy from the mini market. Some lucky kids might even get hardworking mums who make them at home. Oh those milo flavour, asam boi...yummiest.

With that memory in mind and constant need for some icy stuff, I am planning to make some next week. I am sourcing some recipe to make several flavours (if my fridge can't fit, might even pinjam my friend's. =P) I'll remember to distribute them and bless others cause my carrot muffin with lemon cheese frosting that I failed to share around ended up berkulat. =( Damn sad. Threw away 6 out of 12. Will share around!!!

Will share my recipes too!! =P Next post, for easy viewing

Madagascar 3

I know this post came a little too late but I did not want to put spoiler when everyone have not watched it yet.

My favourite part of the movie yet

Look at the part Mort do the scary sound. SO FUNNY!!!! And cute!!!!

Speaking of movies, the boyfie and I enjoy going to Lotus Five Star in Prangin Mall for movies. RM5 for students on weekdays, even for PREMIER shows!! Love it. Popcorn a little too small a portion though. The large popcorn is as small as the one in GSC large. Best popcorn in terms of portion has to be TGV though the price of the movie ticket is not at all appealing. Will blog about Lotus Five Star. RM5 is too good to be missed.

Lunch

Being alone at home and preparing for lunch pulls out all my lazy bones. I am usually very demotivated to cook lunch for myself but I did whipped up a few extremely simple meals.

Last week I had Mee Sua to eat with chicken soup I cooked for dinner. It was hassle free as I only had to blanch the mee sua. Another day I cooked fried rice with anchovies, a simple dish that I whipped up due to my laziness. These are the only two dishes I remember from last week. I cooked proper dishes for dinner though as boyfie will be back from work to eat them.

My fried rice from last week

For today, I had egg and tuna sandwich!! Awesome I tell you. Love Massimo's 100% Wheat bread. Looks like the boyfie might get sandwich for breakfast tomorrow too. That is if I can wake up and make an easy one for him.

Invitation

Designed an invitation to send on facebook to my sisters and mum.

I was sitting at home, too lazy to do anything serious or proper. I never really have any mood to do serious stuff unless I got no choice. Sometimes I would just read story books or laze around doing nothing. Anyways, decided to design this card and invited my family for a special dinner next Saturday night. Got my couzzie to grandma-sit my grandma as she is not a big fan of Western food.

Then I confirm the dates and designed this card. May not be the nicest card but It's my first time, give face. Will blog about the food after next week, if I managed to take any picture before start eating. Nowadays I am less a photo-freak than I was when I was younger. Cause I find it rather inconvenient and rude to ask people to wait for you to snap pictures of their food.

This weekend with be rather quiet as one student cancelled class and both sisters, my bro-in-law and the boyfie will be outstation. So it's just me, my mum and granny.

Close call

What's left of my "soup". Burnt to perfection I tell you.

Thank God for a kind uncle from higher floor who came down just to ask me if I cooked anything cause he smelled something burning. Thank God for him because the soup has completely dried up and is just waiting to burn through the bowl.

I may have lost my lunch for the day but if the uncle did not come, I would have completely forgotten about it till it explode or something. I can't thank God enough for His provision and His protection.

This is why we should not do so many things at the same time. I think I must have set the bowl on the stove to heat up my soup, then I took my clothes in and then sat down and edit my blog, reading blogs as I go on. Need to get myself the timer cause this is not the first time boyfie or I forgot about the stuff cooking on the stove and start doing other things.

Praise Lord for His protection! Thank You for caring for Your forgetful child.
