Remember the last post? Where I posted up these two pictures? I thought it was bad enough, now it's worst.
Yesterday, you can still see a little of the buildings behide Island Plaza ( it's the one beside the newly built building - picture 2).
Although you can barely see Butterworth and can barely make out the sea, it's still bearable.

The haze is back
And believe me, IT'S BAD!!!!
Before we moved into this new place which is actually not very new anymore (1 year plus), I will walk out of my house and try to snap pictures of hazy skies. I remembered starting this blog with a post of the hazy sky. I was rather lame last time.
Anyway, it's back now and it's so much easier for me to know if it's hazy because of the wonderful view we have in our place.
Photos of evidence.
On normal nights when there's no haze.

Beautiful isn't it? You can see the lights on the mainland.
On normal days when haze is not a problem.
You can see the mountains, a little of the mainland's building.
On a day where haze is terrible (today)
No mountains, let alone the buildings on the mainland. I could barely see the sea.
Zoom in, look at the buildings on the mainland. Very vague right? All covered by the haze.
It rained a while just now but it's not clearing up the sky. Guess we'll have to drink lotsa water to prevent getting sick. =))

Deep thoughts
Have you ever felt so angry about one thing but the person who made you angry about it doesn't feel a thing?
And then you pinch/punch (depends how violent you are) yourself silly because you are angry?
And it makes you feel even worst because that person is ignorant about it?
You think you are being sensitive (just like how everyone said you are).
You began to stop trusting even yourself because you don't know whether you are reacting normally or being overly touchy?
Sigh, one of those days when I put my thinking cap on.
ps: Nope, no one made me angry lately. =P As happy as a bird. Er..whatever.

Shan brought us to Roti Bakar Arang
The title said it all. It started with me asking Shan if she knows there's a shop in town selling bread that is toasted with charcoal. She went home ask daddy and ajak-ed us for a breakfast trip. So off we went.

The three girls who left home slightly after 10.30 a.m. just for bread at the top right picture. It is actually at a small lane somewhere alone Kampung Malabar. In between coffee shops.
They really uses charcoal to toast the bread. The top part they boil water for coffee and other beverages while the bottom part they toast the bread. There's three types of bread, normal, coffee and chocolate. On our trip, the coffee one finished. So we had two normals and one chocolate.
Yums, and three sets of eggs. Win had a packet of nasi lemak as well. Her favourite food in the world.
The two girls enjoying their food. No picture of me eating because I was the cameragirl. I think the bread was alright. I heard their coffee is good. I love the company with me that day though.

Just one picture of me and Shan. What's the chinese word behind ar?
After eating our breakfast, we went to Gurney again for the N times that week. I was actually supposed to find stuff to wear for the Standout Party but to no avail. So we went Kim Gary for lunch.

Diana brought us to Bowling + Pasar Malam
One of our favourite sport is bowling. OK FINE! Other than shopping, it's the only sport I do with them. So few weeks ago, we decided that we should go for bowling at least once before Swee Win flies back to Sabah. So off we went to One-Stop (Midlands Park Mall).
Tell you what, don't bother, Penang is so lousy now that it is closed already la. No more bowling in 1-stop. Don't go, waste parking money only. Damn angry. We climbed so many floors up okay? Just to be greeted with this.
I don't believe that they close for renovation. No business in 1-stop also.
We refused to give up and went to Penang Bowl instead. It's full. It's freaking full on a Wednesday. So we waited. And ordered food while waiting. T___T But before the food arrives, our lane is ready.
We changed our shoes and WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE UNCLE? PEOPLE WANT 7 GIVE LA 7. Gave me 6 then I cannot tahan cause leg pain. So I went and change to 7 again. Ma fan only.
Before we even get to start the game, the food arrived. Talk about bad timing. Sigh. We ordered English Muffin, Toast (mine) and 3 sets of Tom Yam (the other three girls). If you are wondering, the Tom Yam taste much better already. I think when we were in Form 6, we went, spicy till every mouth we put in, we'll choke okay?
Whee haaa...showing our skills. Actually that day no skills. Bowled quite badly but couldn't care less because I suck like that. Finished the game with a few cuci longkang, and brought back a sad result of 50++. Who says the president of Bowling Club has to be able to bowl??? We are presidents to do shit work okay?
Camwhored a little while waiting for them to finish up their food. Adiks, makan cepat sikit.
Then went out and decided to take moreeee photos with the sea. There's one picture where Yi Lin is cut out. Bottom, second picture. Sorry Yi Lin.
Then we took some silly/nonsense face picture. I miss them already. T__T After much camwhoring, we proceeded to the Pasar Malam where we had a food war la. Bought so much, our family thought it's our first visit to the night market.
Feasting on more food that eventually, we gave up. Rule of the thumb, DO NOT BUY SO MUCH FOOD, CAN DIE.

To end this post, nah, a picture of that three girls. Yi Lin laughing for I forgot what reason, Swee Win showing her waiting-for-yong-tau-foo face. So fierce. And also Diana and her hp.

ps: It has been quite some time since I last got any Nuffnang ads. I wonder what happened.

Johnny's and Dao Rae
Usually, on Saturdays, I will follow my sis and Mr Lim out for lunch and we'll go try different types of food. Yes, I'm a light bulb. Anyways, few weeks back, we went to Queensbay because we wanted to have dinner at Dao Rae which is near Queensbay.
For lunch we had it at Johnny's steamboat place. I LOVEEEEEEEEE the Papaya Pok Pok there. So much yummier compared to the Mango Pok Pok I had in Bangkok. So much more soury, spicy and nutty.
For dinner we went to Dao Rae.

Ordered BBQ beef and chicken. Forgot all the names. T___T It was quite some time ago okay? Gimme a break. Beef was good!!!! Chicken was okay but really, what's the point of naming the dish 'spicy something' when it is not spicy at all???
Yum-ness for the side dishes there. I love the egg and the kimchi and the mash potato. Overall though, I think Korean Palace is better. Price wise, almost the same. But side dishes in Korean Palace according to Pao is better. Well, I really love the few I mentioned but I still can't get over Korean Palace's jiu hoo (dried cuttle fish).

I am craving for Korean Palace now.

I have new found respect for my Datin Grandma
When you see a lady her age (80++ almost 90), you'll sure say cute. Especially my grandma cuz she is very tiny and very cute. Really one.

Sometimes she'll stone like that staring into the space, sometimes she'll make mulut senget cause she doesn't like something and sometimes, she'll be totally blur.
Sometimes she looks cute even when she's eating. But lo and behold, this small lady here is diam diam ubi berisi.
Cause??
She said hooligans while this cucu here (a.k.a. me) said gangster only at most. I was shocked when she said my aunt is afraid to go somewhere alone because there's hooligans there. I was like WHAT???DID MY AH MA SAID HOOLIGANS?
Ok, Ah Ma, you are the champion.
ps: I never use the word hooligans before also lor. Never in my life. And I'm using it now because my grandma used it first.
