Counting my blessings

Was eating my diet meal (consisting of lots of vege and some chicken breast) when my little grandmother sat beside me.

"Eh, no eat rice ar?"
"No, today eat chicken and vege"
"Why no eat rice?"
"Heee..don't want to eat rice."
"Eh, yesterday you cook that pork, very nice lo."
"Is it? You like it ar?"
"Ya...the taste just right. Sometimes when we buy outside not so nice one."
"Ya lo, this one we cook ourselves ma, so we can cook the way we want it lo."
"Ya, very nice. I eat that one only enough already."
"Like that I cook for you some more okay?"

I am going to count the little blessings every day. This is the 3rd time my grandmother praises my cooking with Thermomix.

First was Fried Bee Hoon.

Second was Sambal Dried Shrimp. My aunt told me that my grandmother keep saying it is nice.

Today she praised me of my Dark Soy Sauce Pork Belly (which really is Char Siew without garlic and shallots cause I was too lazy to marinate them the day before but she loves it !)

If you know my grandmother enough, you would know that she is a VERY (very is an understatement) fussy eater. So those who wonder can Thermomix cook what we cook daily and make it good? My answer is, it can cook EVEN BETTER! Cause it's not only tasty (approved by a fussy grandmother), it is HEALTHY with less oil and it is EXTREMELY EASY with no need of spring cleaning after cooking even after cooking Sambal Dried Shrimp which was IMPOSSIBLE before this.

Looks like I've got to cook more stuff for my grandmother with Thermomix so that she can have good meals every day. Besides, it requires little effort. Our little naughty grandmother sometimes refuse to eat cause the taste is not up to her liking. So it's a blessing for me to be able to cook for her and make sure she eats well. Motivated to cook even more!

TRUST in HIM

More and more people are beginning to know about Thermomix and more and more people I know seems to own one too. Previously, when I found out my friends' mum got it from someone else, I was a little crushed. Cause my friends (close ones) know I am doing Thermomix so to know that their mother bought from others is a little disappointing. Then I realised there is no point being sad about it. So I started to look at the other side of the coin. At least now more people know about it and perhaps those who were not convinced earlier will now be.

So I've been doing demos with Pao and the response has been encouraging. I've decided to TRUST the Lord to do miracles. I do my demo, I do my part and let God do the rest. Whether they purchase or not, it doesn't matter. Cause I've done my part and maybe one day they will. I am doing Thermomix full time now as I am sure it can give me the flexibility and the income I need for my family. So I pray to God and ask him to reveal if this is what He wants me to do. The flexi hours really will give me time to do other stuff other people who are doing full time job can't. I really hope this is His plan cause I am liking this plan. But if it is not, then He must have better for me.

I am still pursuing this now. I will continue to pray for Him to reveal to me.

So while waiting, more demos?

Dark Horse Training

Last Friday and Saturday, I attended a training by my company in KL. We chartered a bus down to KL and had two fruitful days of training. Initially I was a little reluctant cause I heard that the trainer who is also our director and has trained A LOT of people is kinda fierce. But Pao encouraged me to go and learn. So I did. Thank God she can join me in the end and we both signed up for it. It was tiring but we did learn a lot so all is well.

Two of my major major major problem is my self-confidence and my time management. These are extremely crucial in my line now so these are the two major problems that I need to overcome. I've never been the brightest or the prettiest in the family. There is no need to fight to be the best cause I have a sister who has been the best so I'm just tagging along and whenever someone needs the best, I kind of take a step back and hide.

Before anything happens, my mind will always be filled with 'What Ifs'. And the 'What ifs' are never the good ones. What if I suck at it? What if I can't? And it's ALWAYS negative. I've rarely got the "I can do it man! I nailed it! I'm the best!" kinda thoughts. So I need to have positive thinking. I have God, who is ABOVE ALL to be with me, and here I am thinking that I cannot do this or that. Of course I can't. But He can!

So good training, recharged but at the same time drained of all energy. :) Anyway, changed my perspective on direct sales. It is also a job. It's like you work as a sales person. But the more effort you put in, the more you reap. Unlike normal job where you need to work to prove your worth to keep the job. I have another month to work hard and make this my career before the whole entire family starts to bash me for not having a "proper" job by their standard. People don't approve what that is different from them.

Recipe?

If you don't know by now, I now only cook with Thermomix. In fact it has been a while since I last touch the knob on the stove. And it has been a while since I last had to stand for at least an hour to cook lunch or dinner. And if you don't know how it looks like. It's the super canggih machine below. I am one of the consultant now so you can ask me for details or for a free demo. Just email me at pinkyblue88[at]gmail[dot]com.

I make my own snacks too
So healthy eating is taken care of. And we spend so much lesser on food as we eat in most of the time. We only go out for meals occasionally but having to pay RM3-5 per person for a meal hurts. And those are just coffee shop stuff. If we opt for restaurants, we would probably spend a month's worth of the money we use if we eat in.

These are the normal stuff that I cook daily. I managed to get some fresh prawns and fish fillet from home (sponsored by the mother). We cooked lesser as we had lunch outside with my mother. It was so easy to cook with Thermomix as we just throw the things in, set timer and off we go to online or in my case, watch my PLL. I am waiting for episode 2.

I posted a picture and someone (who is also using Thermomix) is asking for recipe for my humble humble dish over here. /shy I will work it out and share. It's really what we eat daily. Try to spice things up a little for the boyfriend but he is having bad tummy these few days (since Sunday) so we try to go light on everything we eat. The assam prawns was without oil. I didn't put any oil in it cause that's how we both like it.

I will work out the recipe and then share it here and on my facebook page. Do 'LIKE' us in our page. www.facebook.com/CookWithThermomix
