Ciskek = Cheesecake

I am in charge of the craft section for my church's Vacation Bible School end of this year. So basically I have to handle all the crafty stuff. And knowing that I am no crafty person and I have 130 kids to prepare for, we roped in my CG friends (who somehow happens to be all ladies) to help me with cutting and sticking.

Awesome lots cause they did like 100 out of the 130 that I have to do. And they are gonna do it again next week. So because they are so awesome, they deserve some awesome cheesecake as a reward. So I contacted one of my church member who is selling VERY RICH AND YUMMILICIOUS cheesecake to bake us a 500g one at RM35 (CHEAP!)

Comes with this cute peg. =) Super free la this girl.

Call this guy for the awesome cheese cake. You have to order 3 days in advance tho.

Written by my friend. -.-"

See how caring are they? You can opt how many pieces you want them to cut. And if you want to share among many, you can opt for this square cuts. Which is the best choice cause it's super rich and it's nice to slowly savour small pieces. Easy to tapao also!!!

Looks like all our cheese cake orders will be with them from now on!!! =) Cause it's damn yummy, it's very reasonably priced and it's an awesome cake to share with many people. Great cake to order for any like house warming party or aiya, any party. Parties are more awesome with yummilicious cheese cake. =) I love!

Call Sunn at 016 4622812 to order. Only in Penang!

Why Maybank should give me tickets to Legoland?

Dear Maybank,
Cause you are the answer to my prayer!!!! I was just saying how much I want to go to Hello Kitty Town and Legoland yesterday before I found out about this contest through Simon Seow's blog. I'd say it's fated that I found out about you two days before closing date, and a day after I was raving about getting free passes. You dare to say it's not fated? I don't believe in coincidence okay? It's God's plan!

Ok, if fate is not enough to convince Maybank to give me the free passes (but seriously, what else is better than fate I ask you?), I am also a poor student who cannot afford to go to any amusement park. Not even Genting okay? I last went there when I was like freaking 12. It's 12 years ago.

I am also a very loyal user of Maybank. My first personal bank without my mum's signature is with Maybank and I love how convenient it is for students to withdraw our money cause it's available in many locations. I also love how conveniently I can click on the website and transfer money to my favourite shops and shop online! I even became the middle person to help my sister and mum pay some bills and also some online transaction cause I'm smart like that.

When people ask me why I am using Maybank I look at them like they are crazy. I mean why not? It's freaking awesome, it's convenient <s>and the tiger looks fierce.</s> I believe almost 90% of students around Malaysia uses Maybank cause it's so student friendly and every online shop I shop with has Maybank account!!! Don't have to pay extra charges for interbank transfer!! You Maybank is super AWESOME LA I TELL YOU!

Why I want to go to Legoland? You see, most amusement park are all about rides but I read from a couple of blogs and there are SO many things to see as well. I am not so much of an adventurous ride person (I can send the boyfriend to ride on it and tell me then I can blog about it) but I love to take pictures and I just bought a new camera! It'll be awesome to go dating with my boyfriend there and take loads of pictures. Besides, he loves Lego and all. I used to play Lego when I was young with my cousin cause boys don't play barbie and he is damn rich to buy lots of Lego. I usually just sit in awe of how awesome and smart someone is to build something out of those plastic blocks. I think my jaw will drop and get jaw lock if I go to Legoland. Serious! No joke! I'm so excited even before I get the passes already.

But seriously Maybank, it's fated already. I am fated to go to Legoland with free passes (seasonal even better) from you!!!! We shall not question God's plan. We follow God's plan. =P (Damn forcing)

Now let that YOU be ME!

*pretty please????

F the boyfriend's Life

Cause I'm thinking of going to this Hello Kitty Town and the Legoland. I mean the Legoland will make the boyfie happy but the Hello Kitty Town will just make him super gay. But it's so pretty and happy. And I want to take lots of pictures. My heart is not built for challenging and adventurous rides. However, don't think I'll afford it as we are still very much depending on our parents for money. Saving is still a HUGE plan in our life.
If only Legoland and Hello Kitty Town offer bloggers to go and experience this place for free! I'll be the first to sign up and prayyyy that I win man. One can always dream right? Do you want to go there too?

Do not give false advertising

So some time ago, I spotted a company page that was having this promotion that the first 100 people to like their page will be given a RM5 McD voucher. McD is just outside of my window because we stay in an apartment behind McD. T_T FML every day smell McD damn tempting. Anyways, so we were the first 100 people.

So we waited and waited for our vouchers. It didn't come. So I commented on Facebook telling them that I have not received any request for address or whatsoever. Then they replied that they did send out emails to everyone but did not get any response from a couple of us. So fair enough, we decided to message them on Facebook with our address. Then...jeng jeng jeng...Few weeks later, there's another contest. You just have to share their page and they will select a few winners and the winners will get RM10 vouchers. I am damn cheapskate I quickly joined. The boyfriend joined too.

And we won. Damn power. So we waited for our vouchers excitedly. Nothing came. So I messaged them again, just to check the status.

1 month later, I messaged them again. GUARANTEE me will send okay? So I waited. Another month gone by, nothing came in the mail. So we directly posted on their page. They only replied on the 20th September because we posted up a comment on their page. Comment will be shown below later. Anyways, they confirmed that they have sent. But I didn't receive anything in the mail. I began to doubt my own ability to type my own address and also the integrity of the postman. The postman stole my vouchers ah? Damn bad lo, make me doubt the company. tsk tsk tsk.

Aiseh, blame the courier company. Then say nevermind, I very generous, I send you a new one. So I thought, not bad leh, supposed to give me one only, mine got lost in the process still issue me a new one. I likey.
The boyfriend's post not as polite. Boyfriend is a bit harsh like that.

Anyway, after I sent these two comments, as mentioned above, they replied on 20th September saying that they have sent again but I didn't get anything in the mail. So I messaged them again to respond to their message saying that I did not get anything and I wanted to double check the address just in case they got it wrong. I damn naive okay? I really believe them one. But I got fed up already and tell them don't have to send me anymore. No point if the postman or whoever gonna keep stealing it right? Then they say will get back to me. So the waiting game began again.

Then I itchy hand, go and browse their page, saw a few other winners and decided to ask them personally through Facebook message. It seems that 2 other people did not get it either and they felt cheated but decided not to ask for it anymore thinking that everyone else has gotten theirs. I am not sure what happened in between. Either the clerk doesn't know that sending out letters or parcel needs stamp, or there are too many people that they lost count of the amount of vouchers they sent or somehow our postman and the two girls' postman stole our vouchers or something. But I still felt cheated. I mean if there's no more voucher, don't keep us waiting like this. I'm just waiting to see if the vouchers are ever gonna reach us. I am cheapskate, I admit it. I think it'll be a treat to have Starbucks and McD with the vouchers but I still have to top up money what. But still, it's the trust. I trusted you and even doubted the poor postman okay?

Will update if there's any "good news". Will definitely clear their name once this is cleared out.

 ********************
Updated: Two more people has confirmed that they have not gotten their vouchers too. FTL cause their "postman" stole their vouchers too.

The Starbucks one, only 10 people are selected. I'm sure 10 people, they couldn't have gotten those mixed up right? Oh well..we shall wait.

UPDATED ON  2ND OCTOBER

We'll wait for the vouchers in 1-2 weeks time and will update again. But for now, glad that they actually look into the matter and clarified with me. ^^ So we'll see what's the update.

Rice Dispenser from MilkaDeal

Saw this one the side bar of my blog ads under Nuffnang. SO FREAKING COOL! I mean I've always been scooping up rice from the plastic bag (don't even have a proper container okay? fail.) using my small KFC mash potato container. This is so cool. It's so interesting that I will actually click on my own ad (never really done that before) and check it out. And share here.

For RM89, you can get a container like that, stores up to 12kg so your 10kg bag of rice can all masuk there.
And what's cool?
  • One Push dispenses exactly 1 cup of rice (150g)
  • Size: Approximately 19cm (W) x 39cm (D) and 41cm (H)
  • No electricity / battery required
No more scooping with pathetic KFC mash potato container from idk who or when.

Quite cool if you ask me. Easy to know if you are running out of rice. Asians love rice so this is quite useful. I don't have place at my house currently for this but if I do have a proper house, this can come in handy.

Ok, am sounding very aunty now. It's really just me procrastinating on my readings.

DIY Recipe File

I have always wanted to have my own personalized recipe book. But having recipe book means lots of pasting, writing and cutting. And this project was held back long enough because I was just too lazy to do anything about it.

Anyways, about few weeks back (or was it a month back), we celebrated the 121st Anniversary at our church. Through the games we played, our table won some goodies which includes this A5 ring file. My mother, eldest sister and grandmother do not need this A5 ring file and I have Daniel's with me so I have altogether 5 ring files. So what do I do with these ring files since it is A5 size?

I decided to make a recipe file!

The free file given to us
Basically it's a white file so it looks rather stylish on its own but what's the use of a pretty looking file if you don't use it right? Went around trying to look for A5 file plastic inserts but they don't seem to exist. I couldn't find it in Daiso, Tesco, Jusco, or even Popular. In the end, we just went to Tesco to grab these clear plastic at the plastic corner. RM6.90 for 500gm.

Clear plastic 6" by 9"

This is the size to fit an A5 paper
Glad I resort to this because #1 it's MUCHHH cheaper and #2 it works just as well.

Next up, how to decorate it? If you know me well enough, I do not have any craft or artistic genes in me. The boyfriend has a plenty so let's just pray hard that my future kids will inherit those and not my lousy genes of procrastination and laziness okay? They can inherit my friendliness and my bubbliness.

Paper, my pretty in green penknife and my Floral Sharpie marker set.
See, my Floral Sharpie is useful now. =P Bugged the boyfriend to let me buy a set cause it's pretty pastel colors!!!

Swatches of the markers. Pretty right? I'm so awesome I have pastel color markers.

My writing and my deco looks like work of an 11 year old but it's okay. I don't want to steal my boyfriend's limelight of being the artistic one now do I? =P #actlikeverygenerous Who cares? It's in pastel colors!!! #divertattention

Inserted my recipes into the clear plastics, punched two holes and now I can has a recipe file too!!! Of course I will eventually outgrow the file and buy a proper one but for now, this is good enough.

At least I am creative enough to think about using the clear plastic. My idea okay? #notsogenerousafterall.

Ok, so this is my amateurish attempt to be a DIY blogger. At least I tried. =P

If you are interested to start your own recipe file, you can email me at pinkyblue88[at]gmail[dot]com for the file and some clear plastics to get you started!!!

Brain, where art thou?

Sometimes I can't believe how forgetful and careless I am. It's not like I'm stupid or dumb but I'm just very absent minded and blur all the time.

I studied in USM for 5 years now and don't you come asking me what route does each colored bus take. I can tell you all the wrong route and you'll not get to class. Don't ask me where are the classes too cause 90% of the time, I'll tell you the wrong one.

Then it comes to my daily life. I misplace my things all the time and trust me to forget the most important thing when you are in a hurry. Like my IC when my friend asked for my favor to help her get her MacBook. Or my photocopied IC when I need to do some government related things (and I purposely printed it the night before). Or my shoes. T_T I've almost worn slippers to work a few times because it was an impulse action.

Or I dunk the whole packet of herbal tea ingredients to see it ballooned up twice or thrice the size and scare the shit outta me. Quickly take out some but oh well, I'm gonna share them with my friends so no fear. Anyways, I've always gotten bad scolding and nagging from the boyfriend because I am so forgetful and careless. And I don't care much about organizing my stuff when he was all about, "Keep your things properly, don't leave things everywhere."

So...who is the boyfriend and who is the girlfriend now? =P Love him for his super good organizing skills (though he slipped at times) and his super good sense of direction. Not so love his nagging and scolding skills though. But I'll close one eye.

Dream to be rich?

I've always dreamed to be a famous blogger or even earn some money through it but it just never happened. I mean most famous bloggers are either pretty or talented or funny or a combination of all three. And they are always good writers with profoundly excellent English.

I may be a Masters student in English Language and Linguistic Studies but really, it's just the name. And no, that Masters degree does not come with excellent English okay? Though we are expected to.

Yesterday, this came in the mail from Nuffnangx.

Now, I only have 3 followers including myself. So how do I get 3 to 1000 and be the first 100 one to get the USD100? I mean there are lots of very famous bloggers or rather famous bloggers or like models and what nots. So they have a lot of people following them already. So yet again the USD 100 is far from reach. Not that I have 100s of followers and cannot make it to 1000. I have 3. Less than 10.

Looks like full time blogger is not really my thing. =P But I'm still gonna blog. On top of working and studying cause that's what I like to do. And if it brings some pocket money and freebies on its way, I'm gonna enjoy it. Now those who do not have a blog or do not have an account on Nuffnangx yet, go, and register for one. You get to read plenty of great blogs or undiscovered one, based on the genre you selected.

It's pretty cool you know?

Bii, what's your dream house?

We have been discussing these on and off for a while now not because we are going to get married or we strike jackpot and have lots of money. We just enjoy having conversations about our future every now and then.

So I asked him what is the MOST important area in the house and we both agree that the room and the kitchen are the most important ones. We both enjoy cooking and experimenting in the kitchen so a good sized kitchen is very important for us.

So we decided to list out what we wish to have in our future home.

For me, I need:-
- Spacious kitchen, lots of cupboards to organize my things in the kitchen
- Good quality kitchenware and electronics like fridge, oven, etc.
- 3 bedrooms, one for us, one for work and one for guest (until a child comes along).
- Room for work is for me and him so we need to have our own corners to do things we enjoy.
- Space for gardening
- Bookshelves for our books!
- I am fine with apartments

Him
- Spacious kitchen and good quality kitchenware.
- HUGE television and sound system
- Place for gardening
- Preferably landed.

You see, I was born and raised in Penang and living in apartments or flats all my life. So I am okay with it especially since we will get swimming pools etc.

However, the boyfriend was born and raised in Sungai Petani, living in landed house all his life so he thinks that we need space for kids to run about and also place to do gardening etc.

We have not come to a consensus for that as property in Penang is ridiculous and we still do not know what's God's plan for us. But all in all, we compromise one another's wants and needs and I believe where ever it is, it will be a great home. I started following blogs of people who do DIY for their houses. I am not as talented but I can use some of the easy tips.

Nuffnangx

The moment I got the email from Nuffnangx about its launching, I decided to check it out on my iPad and iPod but my iPod is too tiny so I check most of the updates on web. IKR. Doesn't really fits their intention to blog stalk through mobile BUT nevermind, I still blog stalk.

If you have seen my sidebar where I put all links of My Inspirations, you would have guessed that I love reading blogs of these women (mostly stay at home mums) DIY and organizing their space around. So nuffnangx.com is major love cause within just hours of having it, I have followed like 20 blogs (ok, I didn't count) which I have yet to finish reading on top of these people that I usually read.

It's mad crazy cause there are so many talented bloggers outside which I have yet to read of. I love these whole concept cause I can now read blogs that I've never come across before and at the same time, stalk my favourite bloggers. Although truth to be told, I still log in to their page like few times a day although I know they have just updated and will not be updating that very same day. No wonder my dissertation gets nowhere.

Anyways, I decided to follow myself.

I shall start with 1. One is better than none okay? =P

So follow me if you want.

Dream

My short term dream is to get a job. A flexible one, maybe event planning job or teaching job.

My long term dream is to become homemaker where I don't have to study nor work but keep the house clean, cook, and take care of my kids.

Yes, I know, I am on way journey to get my Masters degree but perhaps it's the Masters degree that is making me think this way. T_T

So my long term dream is to be SAHM. HAHAHA You know what is that? =P

Updated:
My longer than short term but shorter than long term (middle la) dream is to own my own place!! Even if I have to start small. So I need to start with my short term dream first before I can proceed. need.to.get.a.job.

Love Bites

I decided to update on Love Bites because my previous post has a terrible title (I shall use Cherry Berry next time =P) and I don't want my friends' feeds to be showing the disgusting title. I know right?

Anyways, for the mum's birthday, we went to Love Bites at Nagore Road, just a few shops away from La Mei Zi and Piknik if you know those shops. I can't for the life of me remember what happened to her birthday post =( But I love her lots nevertheless.

So it was our first time there. The price range is towards the higher side with RM17.90 for main course which isn't very big. The drinks are alright and it's a great place to hang out I suppose. But not for family meals. Our total bill came up to about RM230 for 7 of us. Quite expensive for the portion of food.

Tomato Soup (or something) in love shaped bowl.

My Quiche. (Chicken one, can't remember the names). Also love shape.
Daniel's Chicken Thigh. Look at how little the rice is. It is fine dining for Daniel's standard.

The Love Toast. You actually have to order before you go otherwise it takes them like 30 minutes to make it.
After the cutting ceremony. Filled with whipped cream and bread sticks. It's RM18.90 for one.

The food is alright. I only took picture of half of the food we ordered cause we are separated into two tables and I can't snap grandma's food cause we don't do that. I think they should at least provide more tables where big crowd can share or move their table for convenience. The price of the food is a little to the mid-range to higher end based on the portion as I've said earlier. Would go back for the dessert though. Grandma loved the bread and her fried rice so that's a great news cause grandma doesn't like trying new things.

Overall, it was a great place to try out for mummy's birthday and she is happy with her present so yeah.

ps: We made up for the price by knocking down our glasses TWICE. Once when grandma was walking out to take group picture (and she didn't even realize it, as always) and again by my mum I think. So we kinda wet their chairs too.

Lau sai

cause we went to eat some all you can eat steamboat at Golden BBQ at Nagore Road. The food is not fresh and some of the fishballs taste super weird. Sourish and all.

The clam won't open even after a long time of cooking and when it does, there are some sand in it. The cockerel won't open even after we throw them into the pot of soup so yea, it's definitely dead and not fresh.

I lau sai-ed too but mine has cleared but the boyfriend is still suffering from it. Probably cause I took less food.

NO MORE ALL YOU CAN EAT STEAMBOAT FOR US. Because of  the lau sai part and also because we only managed to eat one round and we paid RM46 for it. I rather add a few more bucks and get a good quality and fresh steamboat.

So yep, Golden BBQ food is really not very good. The standard has dropped.

Lesson learnt : Thou shall not be so tam chiak.

Obstacles

Truly, our faith is tested when we are holding the end of the rope. Either we cling onto the rope that promise us life or we let go and try to grab something else that we think may help us to stay alive.

It has been a challenging, nerve-wrecking three days beginning from the day my lecturer asked me to find another supervisor, doing a total different topic area which means a new topic altogether which I did not prepare.

So I had read everything from scratch and try to get a new idea, a new topic to propose to my lecturer, hoping that she says my topic is do-able and accept to supervise me. All these, by Tuesday. Been feeling lost, praying to God for guidance, knowing that He has the best topic, best plan for me. At the same time, struggling to see this in the reality, with burdens on my shoulder and time ticking away. It is not easy, it definitely is not. It may seem easy to say and sing this song

"When the ocean rise and thunders roar,
I will soar with you, above the storm,"

It has been easy to sing this and it's also a very nice song that I like a lot. But when troubles come and when everything else around us seems bleak, it takes a lot of courage and faith to trust God and to soar with him above the storm. But I will persevere for God promised me again and again in the bible that He will not leave nor forsake me. That His plans for me is for hope, not disaster. So with that promise, I claim it and I will continue to fight. It's week 1! I have faith in my God. He put me here for a reason and He will not leave me to handle this alone.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged

Where to go in Hatyai?

The girlfriends and I have decided to go to Hatyai for the end year holiday as one of our friend have not been there and has been suggesting it over and over again. So after setting the date, Diana and I began the whole planning with van and hotel bookings and also itinerary planning. Next time, someone else will take our responsibility as we relax and chill (I hope =P).

So after got our van booked, we booked our hotels through booking.com (much cheaper by the way). As a request for someone to volunteer to plan for itinerary was not replied (due to busy workload and inconsistent usage of facebook), Diana the master of all came up with a list of what to do in Hatyai.

This time around, as they requested for a three day two night stay, we have plenty of time in our hands and not so much places to go. We are skipping all the temple visiting as none of them are religious enough I think and Daniel and I are Christian. I mean they would like to but it's often out of the way which requires us to take extra tuk tuk to go.

So the tentative itinerary is this

Day 1 :  (Friday)
-----------------------
Suntisook Market (big market) - afternoon
Floating Market ( 6 - 9 pm )

Day 2 : (Saturday)
-------------------------
Morning Market - Food
Kim Yong Market - morning starts at 6.30am
Tesco (afternoon)
Walk around malls etc
Petai Market ( 6 - 10 pm)

Day3 :(Sunday)
----------------------
Lee Garden Flea Market (if it still exist)

Will blog again when we finally go there and actually walk around cause this plan is a tentative one and we can change to other places whenever we want to.

Things my student ask

I have a student who is 13 years old and he is kind of the 'act cool' type of student. However, once in a while he will pop a question that either got me going -.-" or "errrr...I don't know".

Student: Teacher, when is end of the world?
Me: Er...Well, we won't know this kind of thing cause it is not ours to know.
Student: *pause* Is it this year?

(Dong, too much of movies perhaps?)

Student: Teacher, do you know why I always get stomachache? *starts pointing at parts of his stomach*
Me: Er, I am not sure.
Student: My mum says she wants to bring me to see doctor and do operation. I am scared.
Me: I don't think the doctor will do operation on you without checking first. Don't worry.
Student: Oh....But if operation, I don't have to go to school for one month.
Me: And you like that?
Student: Yea..But then again, not really. One week of holiday and I'm so bored already.

(He is probably having some indigestion due to his weird eating habits.)

Student: Teacher, do you know *insert show name*
Me: Erm, not really. Why? Is it nice?
Student: It is scary movie. I like. Today I am going to watch with my friends.
Me: Cool.
**Next week**
Student: I didn't watch the show, they don't believe I am 18 years old. I am the shortest among my friends.
Me: *insert sympathetic face*

And he tells me about his school teachers and friends like I know them all. As in he addresses them with their names and I will go O.o all the time.

Eggless Milkless Pancake

If being eggless when you want to make pancake is not bad enough, one morning, when the boyfriend requested pancake for breakfast, I realized he just finished the last box of milk the day before for cereal. That's why cereal must be eaten dry =P. Okay, my personal preference

Ingredients

2 1/2 C All Purpose Flour
2 T Baking Powder
2 T Sugar
1 t Salt
1 T Oil
2 1/2 C Water

Direction
1. Lightly mix all ingredients in a larger than normal bowl.  The batter will be lumpy, but it's important to not over-mix as this will make the pancakes tough.
2. Leave 5-10 minutes to rise, the gently fold in and leave for another 5-10 minutes (if you have time, but not essential).
3. Cook on a lightly oiled or buttered griddle on medium to medium-high heat.

Once again I became superwoman and the boyfriend watched me in awe while I was cooking it.

Eggless Pancake

I sometimes wake up to a boyfriend who has been waiting for me (he wakes up at 7.30am. It is not healthy =P) to decide what to have for breakfast. Sometimes he will make oats or cereals but occasionally, he would give me his puppy eyes look and ask for pancake. Pancake request comes during breakfast or even tea time. I would oblige since it is a once in a while treat for him.

However, what happens when the boyfriend ask for pancake and I realized there is no more eggs left? I whip out my iPad (like I can keep them in my pocket right?) and google for eggless pancakes. Thank God for people with the same problem. I don't have to tell the boyfriend the sad news. I shall share the recipe here though you can find it in cooks.com

FLUFFY EGGLESS PANCAKES

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon butter
Combine dry ingredients and mix slightly. Add milk, oil, water, and vanilla. Whisk together until just combined. Be careful not to over mix - it should still be slightly lumpy. Set aside to rest for a few minutes.Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. While pan is heating, add butter. As soon as the butter is melted, add melted butter to pancake batter.
Return pan to stove and stir butter into batter.
When pan is hot, with a measuring cup or ladle, pour 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface. Carefully flip pancakes with turner/spatula and cook until golden brown.
Note: This recipe also works well with whole wheat flour. Chopped fruit, nuts or chocolate chips can be added to batter before cooking for a unique treat.

Thank you Dawn Linke for this AWESOME recipe and thank God for people with same problem and has the heart to share.

No eggs? It's okay!

And the best thing is that the boyfriend told me I am a superwoman because I managed to make him pancake though I lack ingredients. So the next time you realized you lack ingredients, google. Someone out there may have had the same experience and share their alternative recipes!

Book Xcess Fair

Hop on a tuk tuk before we went to the fair. Damn ugly I know.
When I found out about Book Xcess fair, I was beyond excited. I immediately mark my calendar and reminded the boyfie to do the same. The very first day it started, the boyfie and I grab our lunch and headed to Times Square. I've heard a lot about Book Xcess but have not been to any of its fair nor its shop. So I was amazed when I saw the books.
Books, people, books.

The boyfriend's
You don't see any of my pictures after this as quoting the boyfie, I was 'running around frantically looking for books like they'll all be gone if I'm too slow'. I was excited okay? And that's my normal speed. =P I was too excited to even talk and I ended up buying lesser books than the boyfie.
Cook books, magazines
My kind of book. =P If I spend more time at Book Xcess with more money, I might go back with even more.
Before leaving happily.

Went to 1st Avenue after that
Wanted to get free coke refill but the boyfie said, "Let's blackball." And so we went.
Ordering Blackball
Told you the boyfriend is hooked to blackball. This was the second day where we blackballed two days consecutively.
The boyfriend's haul
Boyfie spent about RM200 while I spent about RM70. I got myself Book Xcess membership card some more. =P

Mine
Apparently now there's another fair in Island Plaza. Gonna beg the mother to bring me there tonight. <3

Meet Fresh to Black Ball

Meet Fresh
Ate this the day we got our phone and we leeched Hui Lau Shan's connection. Boyfie enjoying a cold dessert.

But after he met Mr. Blackball, he ditched Miss Meet Fresh cause Mr. Blackball is so much nicer! Less sweet and he lovessss the taro balls. We blackballed two days consecutively. More than Chatime okay? Yes, blackball has become a part of our life now that we use it as a verb. =P

 With the cream.
The one in QB. It's beside the Ace Hardware shop, above Daiso only. Awesome.

And me enjoying mine.

Choc Moist Cake

Whipping it hard with hand whisker

Had a panic attack when I thought we were to present our proposal next week. So that very night, we decided to bake choc moist cake cause I needed something to calm me down. Started at about 10.20 pm and done baking by 11.20pm.
Happy Boy gets to whip also
Love how the boyfriend enjoys helping in the kitchen and cooking. Takes burden off my shoulder when I'm lazy or tired. He needs more love from me. =P I've been rather moody and snappy lately.

Done. See the holes? We were just making real sure that it's cooked. :P
We poked poked poked to make sure that it's really done all the way through. We used chopstick cause we are too cheapskate to buy a cake tester. =P
ta-da...left to cool and then packed to give to the family.

No recipes as we used the pre-mix. The family lovesss it with cousins taking 3 pieces (at least) and mum's other staff ate some too. And they are rather picky eaters for boys. So I'm happy. I got kind feedback from all who tried but oh well, it's better to have some cakes than none right?

From the other side

It drives me crazy when people say things like

"Why are you so serious?" feel like telling them, "Why are you so inconsiderate?"

Or

"Why are you so sensitive?" Maybe I should ask them, "Why are you so insensitive?"

Always got people showing black faces just cause they are asked to do something they should but didn't. People are darn good at turning the tables around.
