Birthday Wish List

So basically it's the time of the year again where I grow another year older. I used to post up my wish list so that it makes everybody's job easier and I get what I need/want instead of getting people to buy things that I may not need or want.

Then I kinda stopped because it makes me feel like I am very buay paiseh and thick-skin to actually imply to people to get me stuff. Then this year, my friends (casually) asked me what I want for my birthday since we were settling some debts over other friends' presents. And I decided that I am old enough to choose sensible (actually not la hahaha) presents. So here goes.

1. A pretty Thermos mug (from Starbucks but I've found a giver).
2. A few bags that I casually stumble upon but may not be a suitable bag since I am venturing into my working adult phase. But here goes

RM60/bag

RM70 for the sling one

All these bags can be purchased from You, Me and Shoes.
I also found some bags from Bonita (Queensbay ground floor) to be nice. But they are not for working adults, no?

Actually I only got two things for the time being. I will think of more!!! Need to be quick about it though. Birthday is in 11 days!!! Super old, super fast.

ps: You can buy me a more sensible working adult bag too cause none of my bags now show ANY signs of me becoming a working adult.

Hiatus

It's funny how when I was rushing for my dissertation, I would blog like 2-3 times a day and right after I submit, I stopped blogging. I know I have promised to show the clothes I bought but I cleverly packed everything and brought home before I could snap any pictures. So will wear them during CNY and dolled up and then ask my sisters to snap for me.

Right after I submit my dissertation, I went home to clean my room. Reorganize everything since we had little renovation going on and changed some furniture. Then I went to SP to the boyfriend's place and 'nua' around for few days.

When we got back, we rushed to launch D'Sparkles collections and baking frenzy began. Baked German cookies and pineapple tarts. On top of that, I basically did nothing much. I did not go shopping cause my bank account was drying up. This entire week was dedicated to selling fruits in the market. 2nd year helping Daniel's aunt to sell fruits. Chinese New Year's crowd is MAD. There's so many people asking for prices, passing you their basket of fruits to weigh, pack and calculate. Some will just ask how much, or if it's good, and then complain this and that and want discounts.

Then there's sorting out the rotten fruits from the good ones and repacking them to sell and sweeping the floor. And lots of calculating. My mathematics has been put to rest for YEARS so it was really a challenge for me. Every day when we got back, we would be lying on the bed, dead exhausted. And we will take like 2 hour nap (we got up at 6.30am or latest 7am every day. Except on Thursday we overslept till 7.45am. By the time we are up it'll already be like 4pm or 5pm and soon we'll have dinner and then slack the night away or hang out with friends.

So this week has been crazy!!! I've not much going on for CNY (for now) so I expect lots of resting and checking on D'Sparkles stocks before I come back next week to prepare for my viva. Will claim this rest first before I even think about my viva.

Christmas has come for me

It came last Friday after the Donut Christmas party by PKA. It has been a longgggg while since I went to any of the CF event due to personal reason and choice. I enjoyed my time in the CF and I guess it's time to leave, for all of us, the seniors.

Anyways, after the sermon, they played this song, 'Christmas isn't Christmas' and really, it ties in well with the message, with the One who deserves all the attention on this day. It's really funny to think that on your birthday, your brother or your sister or someone whose birthday is DEFINITELY NOT THAT DAY to get all the attention. Bet that hurts.

So, please, give the one who deserve all the attention His attention!!! Playing upbeat Christmas songs now and searching for old hymns for Christmas. Thank You for Your birth!!! You are super duper amazing!!!

Now, go and tune in to the song, "Christmas isn't Christmas". Makes me teary all over again. Really, what is Christmas to you? Is it the Santa Claus? Is it the Christmas tree? Is it the beautiful ornaments? Is it the presents? Is it the joyful songs? Is it the colourful decorations all over? Is it sales? Do you celebrate all these? Or do you celebrate the birth of our Saviour and Lord? Our Redeemer? Someone who actually KNEW that He is here to suffer and yet did not rebel and run away. He stayed on, suffered, died (scary to know how you are going to die isn't it?) and then resurrected for who? For fun? NO! For us!! For you and me! Tiny creature if you were to look from HIGH ABOVE. A nobody, a common man, a sinner. All cause of love for us. So if you feel that you are not loved, you are abandoned, you are alone in this world, let this Christmas season remind you what He has done for you and I.

Christmas isn't Christmas till it happens in your heart
Somewhere deep inside you
Is where Christmas really starts
So give your heart to Jesus,
you'll discover when you do
That it's Christmas, really Christmas for you

Jesus brings warmth like a winter fire
A light like a candle's glow
He's waiting now to come inside
As He did so long ago

Jesus brings gifts of truth and life
And makes them bloom and grow
So welcome Him with a song of joy
And when He comes you'll know

Christmas isn't Christmas till it happens in your heart
Somewhere deep inside you
Is where Christmas really starts
So give your heart to Jesus,
you'll discover when you do
That it's Christmas, really Christmas
Christmas really Christmas
Christmas really Christmas for you

I can haz Ipad2 for Christmas

This comes a little late but I am in denial, and looking for all ways possible to not do my assignment though I know I'm digging my own grave.

Daniel Chong bought me Ipad 2 for Christmas!!! That boyfriend who is always so stingy thrifty I mean, forked out over RM1.7k to buy something for me. He is always so thrifty when it comes to spending on himself but splurge all for me which makes me feel very bad cause I splurge more on myself than on him.

We have been filling our baby in with lots of apps. I clothed it with a brown leather and put on 'contact lense' (protective screen la) on it.

Buying me flowers, chicken soft toy, more flowers, more things. Basically he just made himself even more unpredictable. He has successfully scrape of that predictable mask and been keeping it off for some time after we got together. I need to buck up and be unpredictable too. I have been an annoying little pest, a lazy one at that, who refuses to do her work and wallows in self pity whole day. CRAP!

Steamboats

I had 6 days of steamboats at different houses, cooked by different family and they all taste different. I know, you might be thinking, steamboat is just soup and those ingredients like fishball, fish, prawns, meat, vegetables right? How can it taste different?

Every family has their own way of cooking the soup and they are all yummiliciously different!

2 days before CNY I cleverly suggested dinner at Bar-B-Q

My ATM was there. <3

The night before CNY had reunion steamboat at Chih Heng's place.

1st Day of CNY steamboat at Ah Win's

Making Popiah for the first time.
2nd Day of CNY was spent at Sis's Godmum's place where I had another round of steamboat - tomyam and clear soup but I did not take picture.
3rd day of CNY, I had my steamboat at Shan's new place

Nom nom nom ice cream.

And the final one was at home but I don't have the picture with me now. So CNY has been of steamboats. Not that I'm complaining. I love anything soup. And homecook ones beats anything out there.

The Valentine's Day

It's my first and probably the best ever!!!

The boyfriend did this. Lantern all over, handmade flowers. I'm loved.

 Whee lanterns.
More lanterns before the candle finished or they started to burn off.
Some successful shots with the lanterns though it was dark.

This is when the lanterns started to burn off and there's no flash.
 Then with flash.
 My cute boy.
Poor boy, have to clean up after that some more. Hard at work.

 Handmade flowers. <3

I am poser.

So this is what he did. He fetched me from Fajar since I thought he had cg till late and I was half-drenched from the rain earlier. So he drove like mad without stepping on the brake. I was shocked and I didn't know where we were going. Then he led me to some place which I don't know but it was scary with wet grasses. Then I saw that, that little place all lit up with these lanterns and I melted. I am loved, well-loved. =) And I am happy.

That boy has been running around all night trying to pull that together and it was raining but it stopped and he made it. He has to be the sweetest guy I've ever met and he's mine.
And nah, tonnes of useless photos of me just because I like it. Can't wait to go camwhore at some beautiful place with that flowers he made. Flowers that wil not wither.
