Blessing in the Mail from Lazada

I said that I was blessed unexpectedly yesterday. I dare not post them in Facebook or my blog because I am a little skeptical about the whole thing (note: Not of Lazada but online scams). All because of my friends and family who asked me "Are you sure? Do not kena tipu okay?" the very moment I share my joy with them.

Now that the blessing as arrived and I have held it with my own hands, I can finally share about it. A few weeks ago, my friends and I decided to get a Instax camera for a friend's birthday. So I was in charge of the present and I almost asked another friend to buy it elsewhere as Lazada was out of that very Panda Instax Camera that we wanted to buy.

My friend was going to buy it after work that day when I received an email from Lazada about a free RM10 voucher. I decided to check Lazada out again. To my surprise, the Panda Instax was back in stock at RM199. We were going to buy from a shop at RM259 without films. So I told my friend that I will buy from Lazada instead as I can get another 40pcs of film at RM80. With my RM10 voucher, I can get everything (camera and film) at RM269, just RM10 extra. Super worth it. And I get to claim my BCard points. Double score.

The next day, I received the camera already. Talk about being efficient. I ordered it after lunch so I am very impressed. We gave it to the birthday girl that very night (8days earlier than her birthday) and we made her a very happy girl.

Then yesterday at about 3pm, I received a phone call from a KL number. I thought it is work related. But when I picked up, she said she is from Lazada and told me "Congratulation, You've won the Giveaway Extravangaza contest! As a BCard member, you have won a Samsung Galaxy S4. I have emailed you, please check your email and confirm your address and contact number and then revert the email to us." I was shocked. Me? Win a phone? S4 some more, are you kidding me?

I jumped up, squealed, much to the boyfriend's (who was sleeping) annoyance. When I told him, he got very excited for me too. I told a few friends and my family but was a bit skeptical (not of Lazada but of online scam). Today I stayed home to wait for my parcel and true enough it arrived! Super duper efficient, even when they are just giving away prizes! Mind you I replied her and got everything confirmed at about 3+ to 4pm. And today, at 12+, I got my S4 in white already.

I am still very happy and amazed by God's blessing. I could have just bought the Panda instax from the store outside. And I could have skipped keying in my BCard number but He has prepared everything for me and guided me to getting it. Mad love online shopping!!! I am very blessed and very grateful for the new phone. My current S3 will be given to my sis.

Lately, my blogging mojo is back so I decided to start all over again. Stopped for about 2 years due to busy schedule and also lack of things to blog since I do nothing besides working, and doing assignments. Anyways, so I've been very active online, looking out for contest to join and hoping to win something. Oh the joy of winning things!! I like!!

Veet If Off with Nuffnang

When I was about 12, I was curious of how it'll be like to have no hair on my legs. So I took a shaver and shaved off one part of my leg. I totally forgot about it until coarse hair started to grow on my leg. I was shocked cause the rest of the leg has finer hair but only that one spot has coarser one. Then I remembered I shaved my leg previously.

I had no choice but go to my mum to confess. She scolded me for being so silly. I continued shaving my legs and the longer I shave, the more I shave. So soon, almost all the hair on my right leg is shaved off. But I have hairy right leg and not so hairy left leg. When I heard about Veet, I immediately talked my mum into getting me one. So she did (she had no choice, her daughter got imbalance amount of hair on her legs =P).

This marks my first Veet!!

I've never looked back ever since. Veet gives me the confident to wear short dress and shorts. My mum always teased me and say my leg is like the "Steamed Chicken" after I use Veet. It's really in Hokkien called "Pek Cham Kay" cause "steamed chicken" has smooth and silky skin.

When I forget to restock on my Veet, the hair on my legs will grow and grow and it is so scary, I dare not wear anything short. Due to my studies, I've kind of neglected the hair cause I wear long jeans to class every day. The hair on my leg can fight with my boyfriend's. Don't ask me why he still loves me. T_T

So I've been wearing these maxi dresses I bought (in 4 different colours) and also some other maxi dresses to church on Sunday as my Sunday's best. If I run out of maxi dresses (or if I'm afraid that people ask me if I don't have other clothes), I'll wear tunics and leggings to cover my legs.

I have this in salmon pink, yellow, black, turquoise and I have another floral one. So yea, I have 5 in total.

It's awful cause I have many beautiful short dresses and I can't wear any of them but sticking to my maxi dresses.

So I have to do something about it. I got myself a Veet.

So the boyfriend helped me to pin it up while I was busy Veeting myself.

With Veet, I can now wear short dresses so I can alter my maxi dresses into a shorter one so that I don't have to wear 4 different colours of maxi dresses. I can now have long and short ones for sophisticated and bubbly day!

Ta-da. Maxi dress can keep for a while now.

Just now the boyfriend said, "Oh,  no wonder la you kept wearing maxi dresses everywhere lately. Now can wear short dresses already lo?" I think he secretly likes my smooth and silky legs but say love my hairy one just as much cause he always like that one. Everything also he will say like. I know he likes my leg after Veet because he said, "Next time when wedding time, you wax your legs la." Tsk tsk tsk, pecah rahsia.

Fridays are happy days

And today is more happy than the usual Fridays. I got a gift from a friend. A small but very thoughtful gift.

Little Miss Giggles.

I like it a lot. He gave me that because I'm always wearing Little Miss Giggles' shirt in USM. Little did he know it was because I got no money to buy new shirt.

But isn't it thoughtful? I mean for someone to remember you and buy you things without any reason. Just because it reminded him/her of you. I should do that too. I'm sure it'll warm up anyone's heart and cheer them up.

It feels good to be remembered once in a while. To be remembered as someone nice and not as chatterbox or annoying kid who talks too much. And definitely not as a tree named Pong Pong. *roll eyes* Adakah patut they thought of me when they saw a tree named Pong Pong? Happily called it my 'sister' and said that I shouldn't ask how they found out it's a girl. Shy to tell me. Macam-macam la my CF people.

Thursday's UP

I found a Spanish grammar book which will definitely help me A LOT in my assignment and I'm up again. At first I thought gone case already. Next week I have to hand in my assignment and I've yet to even find a relevant book to use. Now I can finally start doing my assignment.

And suddenly, it didn't feel that bad afterall. =)) I think I can cope with it la. Just need more concentration and determination. Been slacking slacking slacking too much. Something else happened and I'm happy. Which is bad, after all the decisions I've made or forced myself to make. I'm not supposed to feel happy. I'm supposed to feel, normal. Whatever.

Anyway, I'll be recording a play with my friends and guess what character I got? A Sea Monster. OF ALL THINGS, A SEA MONSTER. So totally opposite with my kind, friendly, bubbly, ant also won't kill character (HAHAHAHAHA happily praising myself). But I guess it's a good thing cause then it's more challenging, to be something you are not (too much of entertainment show interview where TVB actors and actresses are interviewed). I'll win the OSEKA award. =P

A new achievement

I was thrilled when I found out that one of our items in The Manni-Queen was sold out within like 5 hours upon posting it up.

It makes me real happy to know that people love the things we picked out. And to know that our market now includes plus sizes (which means I can buy clothes that I like as well), I'm ever so excited about it. We even have return customer which is triple yay cause it means people got our stuff, liked it and coming back for more.

Waited far too long

for these two darlings I mean- Beautilicious and Escada hamper!!! Worth RM150 each. And I simply loveeeee what I got. After that DKNY perfume I won, this is another prize. Ok la, I won this first but it took me like 6 months or more to get my hands on them =x But the wait was worth it. It was super worth it. I <3

I think this is much better than some hair product because Ping Ping is not a hair person. She is more a make-up and perfume person. If you are wondering, why blogging? Nah, this is one of the great reason why.

How your mother look like contest

Two months ago, I joined this contest and won a bottle of DKNY Be Delicious perfume. After much hassle with help from my sis's friend- hsuiyong and her friend-teng dee, I finally got my prize. The ones I won from MDG2 is here in Penang too. Will got collect them a.s.a.p.

We are going to Taipei!!

I'm going to Taipei!!!!!! For FREE!!!!!!!!!!

My sister won us two free AirAsia flight tickets to Taipei and guess who she is bringing??? The girl she kicked at the butt and said, "Hungry ar? Fatty ar??" this morning. Yes, that person is none other than her room mate a.k.a ME!!!!!

She wrote in for the contest to win free tickets to Taipei and received an email that she won!!! We were practically jumping up and down shouting 'YES YES YES!!!!! Taipei Taipei Taipei.

Photostat Machine has gone bigger

Since I was a small girl, everyone tell me I look like my mum the most. The rest of my sisters are not that alike (At least I know I am not some kid that mummy kutip from dustbin). I thought it was because I ALWAYS get same hair cut as my mum. Must be the hair dresser's attempt to please my mum at the expense of MY HAIR.


However, until now I still get that from everyone. Be it my mum's friends or my friends or any other random person. So I've then decided that we DO look alike. It's not the hair dresser's fault although she is not entirely innocent.


You know there's always these sayings to describe or to state that two people look alike?

Eg: Photostat machine photocopy out one is it?
Hou chi peng yan. (Like biscuit moulder)

So, do we look alike? Sorry, hair is so messy (although works well cause mum's is also messy. Just that hers is properly curled while mine is well, MESSY).

Hair is messy because it was initially tied in a bun (although in a bun also messy) but because I want to capture an even more look alike picture, I decided to take that bun down.

So, same or not? Can win or not? Am participating in this DKNY contest for mother and child look alike one. =))

Malaysian Dream Girl, The Top Four

I'm so happy the four person that I liked since beginning is still in the running for the Malaysian Dream Girl 2 title. Actually the 5 people I liked was in the top 5. And now it's the top four. I kinda hope Ming, Pinky and Dawn will stay because I really like Ming but everyone is making a big fuss about her height. =(

First, let's talk about Pinky, DREAM 10

I liked her even before this picture because I think the Wacoal one was good. I think she looks different in her pictures and I think that's very important because if you look the same all the time, people will eventually get bored of you. I think this picture is really pretty with the vibrant colours and her smile.

I think she looked pretty fierce in this one and at certain angles, she looks like Ringo. This picture is just okay in my opinion because I like the Bella one more. I am no judge okay? I can't even wear my own clothes well, let alone talk about other people's.

This picture reminds me of her gila-gila posing in the studio. Seriously, terpahat dalam ingatanku. Lol.

Her legs look so long and slim here although memang her legs are long and slim. Look at all other pictures. I like her wedding gown!! But her face not very happy pun. She doesn't like her 'husband' because she wants to get married to Ah Fai la.

I want to talk about her English. I think she is doing very well because despite having a less perfect English, she still speaks and improve herself. I know many people out there who can barely form a sentence so I think hers is good already. She has to improve though.


I LOVE MING! DREAM 08

She always look quiet though. I love this picture because I think it looks very classy and different from the others. Probably because the way her picture is taken but I love this!!!

This picture is okay. Not much difference though. I mean the difference is not major or huge. And she actually looks good with this make-up. I always love her serious-ness and determination and her style. I think I began to like her after reading her blog because she is so stylish and fashionable.

I think this picture fits the theme because she looks fierce and angry. And hai-yak karate kick you. And you think Ming cannot be the angry fierce type because sometimes she just look too quiet to be angry. =P

I did not really agree with the judge that this is a nice picture because I think her legs look short but I like what she wears which I think really represents her as she is stylish like that. I still like her after this shoot though.

I love this picture!!!!!I don't know why but I like the way she is lying down like that, with her beautiful wedding gown like this. Like resting on her ' husband's ' shoulder. I wonder if we can take such wedding picture. Look so dreamy, so princessy and pretty!!! Of course if I have such body and face to begin with. T_T Impossible for me but I really love this picture. Looks like out of the wedding mag.

Juanita, DREAM 05

After all the drama, I admit I started to dislike her a little. =P

Not prejudice okay? But I think this picture show her thigh too much. It's a bit big huh? I don't know eh, for a model, like a bit big. Maybe cause Pinky got really skinny ones. I don't like her make-up here. I saw it on one of her blog posting and I don't like!!!!!

I think she looks kinda good here because I don't know. Her body so long and toned (here). And she looks strong here. Like, I punch you only you know. While flying some more.

I think she looks pretty good here. Like some rich man's daughter or something. But that's all I can say. Because I am lousy like that.

I think of all her pictures, this is one of those that I DON'T LIKE!!! Look at her tummy. Why come out one? I know I fat la but then for a model, tummy can come out like that meh? And her face kind of like the same. Look carefully at the HP picture and this one. When she don't smile, it's muka A, when she smiles, muka B. Macam template.

Although I don't like her hair, I like the gown. Heh. I thought this photo they say they must show very er dramatic or drastic or big actions or poses. This one not very dramatic or drastic or big wor. But I think she look pretty in wedding gown. But she don't really like her 'husband' (the car) hor?

Dawn, DREAM 02. Another of my favourite contestant in the show. She's just someone everyone would love to befriend with I guess.

With her ballet experience, I think this picture turned out really good. I like her poses and I like her long legs.

I can so see such picture with this kind of smile in magazines leh!!! I like her because her smile is just so...captivating. I think it's cause of that dimple.

This one is a bit of the dancing moves and not the furious exercise look which is different from the rest of the girls. Maybe it doesn't show much energy though. Instead it's more to the rilek-lah kind of pose. I think it was okay wor. I kind of like it.

I think she did well for this one though. Cause hey, if you can pull off such hair, you can do anything okay? Ok la, a bit exaggerated. But seriously. That is one ugly hair okay? But I think it fits her well because she got pretty and tiny face and I think she'll be okay. Hair will grow. =P

I think her face is not happy and bahagia enough. A bit weak and not happy excited enough. But I still think the picture is nice cause somehow they all look pretty. Is it because of the wedding gown? I like her hair accessory.

That's my take for the top 4. I think this season's is better compared to the last one because they take better picture. I don't care who wins now because all of them have potential! =)
