The Thunder Story

Two nights ago, we were being attacked by thunder and lightning. Basically I was semi-conscious, very scared (in my dream) and do exactly what my sister/roommate asked me to do. T.T I don't even know why we were so dramatic la.

My eldest sister always show the "peace" sign when lightning strike cause she says it feels like paparazzi taking picture of her. No comments. Mum who is her roommate keep scolding her and asking her to sleep cause she always wake mum up to "peace for the lightning. -.-

To know exactly what happened, go to my sis's blog because she was super conscious (can go toilet some more -.-). She can relate the whole incident better because I was practically sleeping in starfish style with my mouth open wide very soundly. I remembered getting up to off my handphone, hearing the alarm going off and hiding myself under the comforter because she asked me to.

The rest, entahlah. =P

*******************

Drama Craze.
Now I am watching Love @ Zero Degrees on AEC every night at 7.00 to 8.00 and repeat at 11.00 to 12.00. I am head over heels with YiXin and Guo Bing lor. I think they should be together. I used to like WeiXiang but then, aiya, this Guo Bing's character so romantic one. Watch already also feel heart warm warm like that.

Rui En (Yixin), Felicia Chin, Julian Hee (Guo Bing), Elvin Ng(Wei Xiang)

I think Rui En is a good actress lor. So natural. And Guo Bing is such a cutie. I hate An Na. Lol, hated her even when she acted in Meteor Garden 2. She memang got that muka menyampah. Seriously.

La la la. Tonight another episode. I am such a sucker for dramas. I tend to watch them all at a go and no, I don't think Taiwan drama is that good anymore. I bought many dvd but watch halfway and got bored. T.T Waste money nia. I am now Singapore drama and Hong Kong drama fansee. =P If I am to watch one more Lollipop and Hei Se Hui Mei Mei's drama which I won't, I'll probably go crazy. Worst buy in my entire life. T.T

Happy Earth Day

According to wiki, it's today. I damn sesat one. It's on the 22nd April every year so Happy Earth Day.

Tonight wa no online. Sebagai tanda mengamalkan Hari Dunia? Tetapi wa tak boleh tak tengok tv. Boleh mati. Wa tutup lampu, tengok tv. Syok betul. Romantisnya saya.

Queenstown Day 1

About 5 months ago, I went New Zealand. I am such a pro at procrastinating that I drag the story until this very day to blog about it. Ha-ha. I know, I am going to finish up my New Zealand, KL and Singapore trip soon. If not next time I lou mong tong time I don't know I've been to places other than Pulau Tikus (it's a market in Penang, mummy used to lie to me and say it's an island-pulau ma. -.-)

Some pictures of the lake we saw on our way to Queenstown. Beautiful sceneries with excellent introduction by the bus driver.

Queenstown is like the most adventurous place we visited on our NZ trip because Dunedin is a small student town and Christchurch is all about shopping. No doubt I see many sheeps and cows along the way to other town but nothing beats seeing it and touching it right? I thought it was going to be so exciting.

I don't mind having a house facing a lake like this. So pretty. Look at the tree, the sky, the color of the lake. I want to go New Zealand again.

The typical farm house and sheeps. =)

How wonderful is God's creation? Beautiful mountains.

Anyway, when we reached Queenstown, it was late already. In NZ, all the shops closes at 5 or latest 6 on normal days and 9 on Fridays. It wasn't on Friday when we reached there that day. We got down from the bus in town and find our way to the inn. First 5 minutes, walao, tired-nya. Where is the inn? Don't tell me I have to climb that hill lor. True enough, we had to climb a few slopes before we reach our inn. With our luggages some more. Thank god the inn was okay.

Then we walked all the way to town to book tickets for the activities for the next two days. We then went for some shopping (souvenir shops open until 10) and had our dinner. That day, we only had chance to walk around and look around the town which is very small but very beautiful and peaceful.

We stayed here. Even the backpackers are so clean, neat and beautiful here. It wasn't the peak season so we have all the 8 toilets to ourselves, not like we needed 8.

Me at the Remarkable Sweet Shop. The sweets are weird. =P But no, did not buy any.

A place for people to sit by the lake and see those duckies, birds and stuff. The water is crystal clear. Really, totally see through.

Took a picture of the ducks and birds. See how beautiful they are? Such a wonderful creation of our Almighty God.

Stay tune for Day 2 and Day 3. It just gets better. =)

ps: I just realized I posted the Queenstown on the way view before already *here* . Nevermind la. Lazy edit.

pps: The two backpackers inn we stayed were clean, neat and in good condition. Apart from situating a bit too far from the town, it was okay. Enjoyed walking alongside with the people there.

ppps: Next update on Queenstown got leng chai see. Ha-ha

I am no longer earning a bowl of hokkien mee!!

I used to think my nuffnang account can never exceed RM5 for I was stucked with RM2.30 for many many many months. My sis and I keep talking about our one bowl of hokkien mee. Then I got upgraded and became a bowl of hokkien mee with extra prawns or something. Now, I can get 10 bowls of wantan mee, at certain places la since the price has gone up.

I think innit play a big part as more nuffnang-ers know my existence. It was pretty a mood spoiler at first when you don't earn much but hey, RM0.25 for just blogging whatever you like leh. I don't mind lor. Just hang in there and you'll eventually get more. Besides, I think apart from the money, it's the feeling of someone does read your blog that makes me feel good. I mean I was like talking to myself all the time when I first blogged. In fact, it felt like whatever I write doesn't matter. But now, I got a bit semangat to go and find things to blog and be happy blogging about it. I'll check my unique visits (a super good function by nuffnang), how people get to my blog, which keywords and stuff daily and man it feels good to know that people reads.

Besides, now that it gets to RM20, muahahaha, I lagi-lah don't mind. It feels good. Hopefully soon it'll bring my blogging to another level la. Then maybe, just maybe, even if I don't get to study journalism in USM, I can still be a journalist. For now, I am a blogger. =P

And to add icing to the cake, I won RM100 for writing a post about MDG in my another blog lo. Syok-ness. Nuffnang is more than what I thought it was. I was rather de-motivated yesterday about blogging as my .com PR dropped to 0 but hey, RM100 is USD30 already, it's okay. Ha-ha.

Man, I love blogging.

ps: If you have not joined, go to http://www.nuffnang.com.my/ and sign up. And be patient. =)

Malaysian Dream Girls Episode 14

Now that the ones I like are gone, I am glad Jay stays. When my sister told me that Jay is leaving, I was shocked for a while but accepted it in the next minute cause somehow I thought, we can never predict the results huh?

Anyway, she then told me Jay is safe. We suspect that Jay should have been voted out but the producers think that if Jay is gone, perhaps the show will not be as exciting cause obviously talents left in the show are almost none.

I proceeded to watch episode 14 which I think is good. I mean at least their pictures are better because of the background. =P Not like I specially like any of them but I think the gowns are gorgeous and the background definitely made me focus less on them. And not get sick of looking at their pictures.

I love this dress. I love her spin but I don't quite like her facial expression. Looks like somebody is going to cry soon or something. Don't merajuk la. I really think the graphic design students did pretty good job though. It made me think the dress is far nicer and man, while typing thing, I feel good cause I can see the gown without seeing her face. How perfect?

Despite her facial expression, I'll give her a thumbs up for doing that spin.

I think Cindy actually looks good here. Or was it the graphic design again? I think she looks better here because she doesn't look sleepy like she did in the two previous photoshoot which I thought was awful. Love the gown too. =) She speaks less now. Now it's the Nadia drama.

I don't think she nail it. She looked good on the video but not on the picture. She actually had a pretty gown on her but the facial expression was, I don't know. Don't like it at all. She should close her mouth.

Okay, it's a little disappointing cause Jay did not nail this. In fact, this is far from good. Her mouth. It's always her mouth. She should really really learn to close her mouth. I hope her family members stumble upon any of the bloggers who thinks Jay should close her mouth and tell her that.

Nadia, this is not good. You can't exactly see her leg lifting from the ground, tip-toe, maybe. The flowery part of the dress is not seen in the picture. Must be because her gown is the less flowy type.Worst of all,

her expression. When you take a picture where you have to jump, eventually your face is different huh? I don't like this picture cause of the face. You see. The mouth like this. -.-"

Ringo was as usual, normal. But for a lady weighing at 40kg, she got assets over there. She made Nadia's seem so small. =P I think the flying effect of the dress is good though.

I am glad this batch of pictures is better than the ones for Wella and Savanh Too. Was having nightmare after that. Just kidding.

And talking about their speaking English, Nadia too has an accent. And Cindy, still the same. I like the part when Ringo say pak chek mak chek, yi ma ku che though. And to say Adeline has bad command of English, you guys surely have not heard the male fashion designer's. =P They should look good together huh?

ps: Where the heck are the judges? In ANTM, we always see either one of the judges with them to look at their performance on the set. In MDG, all I see is Sazzy, Sazzy and more Sazzy. Might as well just ask her to be the judge. She is the one announcing the one got voted out, she is the one who's there to show them how to pose (most of the time) , she's the one who go to meet big shots with them. It's always Sazzy. Then why they even need the 3 other judges for? To create job opportunity ar? The judges ended up being their mentor only.

I like Melissa Maureen la. So sweet la she. And about the commercial challenge,

Jay looks funny with her sunglass because it's so dark and yet she was wearing a sunglass. And it's the very dark sunglasses and she looked like she was blind or something. Not her fault. Adeline looked silly also

Nadia, one word, cheh su (problematic). We viewers do not know what happen on the set, but somehow, the way they talk about the matter are always so wrong, we ended up misunderstand them. And like it's our fault. -.- Cry some more. I did not even notice the part Ringo pass Nadia the perfume on the advertisement lor.

Not much bout Cindy and Hanis though.

Man, Ringo's body damn hot. I mean, small and big at the correct places respectively. =P

Surprisingly, they do not look that silly on the ad. I mean Jay and Adeline. They looked silly on the shoot though. Adeline looked a bit sesat but okay la, she can dance also. Heh, I think Cindy's face was too near to the camera lor.

Charity

I was that kind of people who will give the beggar my one last RM1 when I was younger. RM1, that's the furthest I can go. As I grow older, despite having RM10 in my wallet (but I kena cheated RM10 once), I stopped giving much to beggars cause they are everywhere, you don't even know if it's another fake one. I occasionally will give to old people but most of the time, I am busy taking care of my bag to even let my eyes wander far.

It was few Thursdays ago (yes, I damn pro in procrastinating), I saw a bunch of uncles and aunties at their golden age, probably 60 or less gathering somewhere around the carpark of my mum's office's building. They were busy packing vegetables.

Out of my curiousity, I went and asked one of the aunties what are they doing. Apparently they gather every Thursday to pack these vegetables given to them by the sellers at the market opposite mum's office's building and give them to those who are poor. How they know these people are poor, I do not know.

That got me thinking. Where is the Ping Ping 10 years ago who will give all her money to a poor beggar? I've grown up into a hard hearted lady who prefers to look elsewhere when a beggar comes to her, probably due to fear of being cheated. Although if you insist, she'll give due to fear, not of trying to do charity because frauds happen everywhere. If this continues, those who really needs help will not get it because people stopped believing in doing charity.

Do you still give beggars money?

*******

Some @#%&^%# living at level 1 or 2 is having feast again. Sien. It's 9.30p.m and to have fried chicken's smell all over your room is not that fun you know?

Things that old people are good at

Note: Non-halal post ahead.

I will not deny. I will not act angelic. IMHO, old people are good at nagging, scolding, merajuk-ing and asking for something at times I find ridiculous. They are like kids once again, we were once that pain in the ass. So stop complaining.

However, we often forget and neglect other things they are good at like COOKING!! I don't know why but almost every single old people is good at cooking. They must have cooked when they were young because they couldn't afford to eat out every day or to hire a maid. That's why. I decided to blog about this place I had my dinner here because I believe there's more Penangites reading this blog.

This evening, I went dinner at this Senior Citizens' Association. I've been craving for Mee Sua Tau ever since I came back from New Zealand but very few shops offer them. The one at my old house bungkus already. This cafetaria I went is run by a bunch of old people who are members to the association. I think the profit of the cafetaria goes to the association, place where they hang out. Yes, they hang out there, sing karaoke some more.

The food was great at very reasonable price and eating there is like giving these old people a chance to do what they love and to continue doing it. Besides, no one rejects good food. Even my grandma who often complains the food from the noodle to the soup to the water they use to cook the noodle was showing thumbs up.

Their association. Complete with karaoke set and many other activities.

Nah, take picture show you the time of their business. Tak tau tempat can call. =P

Click to enlarge and see the menu first. =)

The place. There's like 10+ tables for the customers.
Mee sua tau. Priced at RM4.80. A real satisfaction I tell you. They put real crab meat instead of those fake ones okay? Yum yum.

Singapore Bee Hoon at RM3.50. I thought it won't be yummy and grandma won't like it because they put eggs in it but it was good, surprisingly.

Singapore Bee Hoon. See the prawn. Drools. I love.

Spring Roll and Roti Babi. RM3.50 per piece. It was good though. Worth the price.

They are very generous with the filling and this is the second shop I've been to that serves such yummy spring roll and roti babi. And their portion for this is big. Definitely worth the RM3.50.

The special sauce for the spring roll and roti babi.

Roast Chicken. 1/4 for RM7. A must try. The skin is roasted until crispy. Yummy. I really like this one. Beat the ones we get at fast food any time. It's really good.

The sign board that you'll see when you are turning into the place.

It is situated at 7, Jalan D.S. Ramanathan (Scott Road) Penang

Tel: 2288799

It is at the rich man's housing area, where all big big bungalows are. This place is a little secluded as the fences are fully covered with plants, wild I suppose. Try to drive at that area and find them as I think it's a place both Penangites and tourists should go. These people are cooking for the passion of it and to earn something to support their association.

I like this place for four things, the food, the service, the passions and finally, the ambience (free live singing from the senior citizens- they were singing karaoke and having fun. =p)
